TPOTY 2025 Travel Photographer of the Year

The prestigious Travel Photographer of the Year (TPOTY) 2025 competition is now officially open for entries. Recognized as one of the world’s leading travel photography contests, TPOTY offers cash prizes, imaging software, and extensive international exposure, with more awards to be announced soon.
This year brings exciting new opportunities, including dedicated Portfolio and One Shot categories, the Young TPOTY Award, and a Rising Talent section to showcase emerging photographers.
The popular video category makes a strong return, now joined by a new format that invites entrants to reveal their creative process in short, Instagram reel–style clips, with a prize for the most compelling submission. A brand-new Travel Image of the Year Award will also allow both judges and the public to collaborate in selecting the single most outstanding image across all categories.
This year’s youth theme, “Journeys & Adventures,” encourages young photographers to submit four images capturing the essence of travel—whether from exotic destinations or close to home—proving that powerful travel photography can emerge from any adventure, big or small.
With its global reach, diverse categories, and reputation for discovering new talent, the TPOTY 2025 competition remains one of the most influential and respected travel photography contests in the world.
