Portrait and Figure Open Call 2026

Curatone.art invites photographers and artists worldwide to the Portrait and Figure Open Call, an international juried online exhibition about human presence in art: face, body, gesture and identity. Photography is welcome alongside any other medium, and works may be made from life, from photographs, from memory or from imagination.
The human figure is the oldest subject in art and the one that never exhausts itself. A face holds a life. A posture holds a mood. A single gesture can say more than a page of writing.
Portrait and Figure is an international art competition dedicated to the human presence in art. The face that looks back at you. The body in movement or at rest. The self-portrait that reveals more than intended. The stranger caught in a moment they will never remember. Whether you work from life, from photographs, from memory, or from imagination, whether your figures are precise or barely suggested, we want to see how you approach the human form.
